Cannot load OS on VM

Source: microsoft.public.virtualserver
Sent: 03/13/2008
From: KevinSysAdmin
Message:

I hope someone can help me out. I am trying to install Win2K3 on a VM I
created, but it seems that the VM doesn't see the CD/DVD drive in the
computer. I keep getting the message (black screen/white letters) that says
- "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot
device"

Here is what I have tried so far:

- Captured Physical CD/DVD drive

- Created an ISO image of the CD and placed that in the same folder as the
VMC file, changed the capture to point to this location

- I've checked the BIOS by pressing the DELETE when the VM starts and made
sure that the CD/DVD drive is the first in the boot sequence

- Deleted / reconfigured the VM - no change
- Uninstalled/reinstalled Virtual Server - No change

I have installed Virtual Server many times on other hardware without a
problem, but with this computer I cannot seem to get the guest OS install on
the VM. Any help would be appreciated!

thanks!
