Unrecoverable Processor error encountered

Source: microsoft.public.virtualpc

Message:

Hi, I'm using Virtual PC 2007 on VISTA and have sucessfully installed XP on
VPC. That's working great.
I am also trying to install UBUNTU 8.04 on VPC. I carefully followed the
instructions but I keep receiving the following message:

[ 26.508067] isapnp: checksum for device 1 is not valid (0x89).
VPC then gives me: An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered.
The virtual machine will reset now. Then the RESET button appears.

This continues endlessly. I thought that maybe the Ubuntu CD was bad, so I
installed the operating system successfully on a test laptop (no problems).
So I am not sure if there is an issue with the disk partition or the CD. I
think Ubuntu is allowed to be installed since I see other people having
success with it.

Any help on the error message about is greatly appreciated, thanks!!!
