If already have XP on PC do I have to re-install it.

The MS VPC2007 demo implied that VPC needs to be installed then say XP then
Vista.

So all my PCs run XP surely I do not have to re-install them again.

Yes, you can use your XP computer to test Vista in a virtual machine using
VPC 2007. However you must have enough memory on your computer to run both
operating systems at the same time. Realistically, anything less than 1GB
of system ram will not be enough. When you run an operating system in a
virtual machine (called a "guest") the host OS is not affected. There is no
re-install issue.

That's correct. VPC2007 is a piece of software, like Excel or Adobe Acrobat.
If you want to create virtual machines with VPC2007, then you will indeed
need to install VPC2007.

I'm not sure what you mean... if you want to test Vista in a virtual machine
on Windows SP, then you need to:

1) install VPC2007

2) create a new virtual machine

3) install Vista on the newly created virtual machine
