Can"t Run Full Screen Mode

Message:

I have the setting "Always start this virtual machine in full-screen mode"
checked.
But, when I start my game vpc tells me it can't run in full-screen mode
because of DirectDraw settings.
Where do I find DirectDraw settings and what do I change to make this work.
