hey all,
i have 2 vpcs:
vpcA win2003 server and active directoy
vpcB xp sp2

they're both set to local only

on vpcB i have a user name john doe.
i joined the domain in vpcA.
that same exact user exists in vpcA.
now when i try to log in to vpcB i don't have to use a password to get into
the domain. i just press ok and i'm in without a password.
i tried to set the password for john doe on the server serveral times to
make sure.
i tried creating other test users and logging in with them on vpcB just fine.
i tried deleting local john doe on vpcB before joining the domain.
i tried deleting john doe on vpcA and recreating him.
i tried rebooting both machines

but still no luck. i can get in with john doe and john doe alone without
using a password to get into the domain.

any ideas?

It does not.
Treat these as separate PC:s and you will be fine.
Any duplication problem you think you have is the result of
interaction between the PC:s and you should ask about such in the
forums dedicated to the operating systems yuu have installed on these
guests. THis forum is not the place....
