reasons this is *currently* not possible?

Message:Because MS simply hasn't done it for VPC or VS. I don't think they will
either. Hyper-V is the big thing now. It's probably just a matter of how
the resources have been budgeted.

Message:No. The 64bit version of VS is to run VS on a 64bit OS. VS itself only
supports 32bit guests. See Hyper-V (Windows Server 2008) for 64bit guest
support.

I was under the impression that I could install a 64 bit server (like Server
2008 64bit) on the real machine, and then install VS 64 bit version and THEN
install a 64 bit guest.
Did I misunderstand something here? Why else have a 64 bit version of VS?

Hey guys.
In VPC 64 bit also u can host 32 bit guests only.. 64 bit VPC also do not support running 64 bit guests like vista 64 and win2008 64 bit os/s. only 32 bit OS/s can be loaded as guests
