Hi, I have two VPCs, one XP and second Win2003 Server. I'm trying to connect
them together so I can share folders etc. I found out that I need to set up
in both VPC Settings to use my host's network card. and that's what I did but
it's still not working. what am I doing wrong? what about IP addresses?

Hi again, I don't use this NIC adapter because I connect to internet using
WiFi. if it is part of the network then it is fine, I know how to set up IP
addresses. but because this network card is not connected to LAN I just
wanted to use it between these two virtual machines. what should I do in this
case? I could set up one of them as 192.168.0.1 and the other one 192.168.0.2
but what about gateway and DNS? Thanks guys for your answers.

What IP address does the host NIC have? How does it get its network
config?

If the host gets its IP config from DHCP, the guests should do the same.
If the guest config is manually set, you will need to configure the guests
with IP addresses in the same IP subnet.
